Pulled all everythign out from under the car to tar is and found this, haddent really looked properly under there, i knew there was fiber glass in the bottoms of the quarter panels but didnt bother touchign em till i saw this, so doing alot of cutting and plating now... here progress so far. no welding yet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here all the fiberglass/bog/rusted metal i pulled out of the rear quarters and a nice new sheet of metal ready to fill the holes :-)

 

 

 

some pimpin roof racks (minus the clamps).. there actually a pretty nice pair. gonna stick em on every now and then for the pushy to go on

FInally got some paint on.....did some more welding but the gas ran out on the tig welder so have to get some tomoro. still a bit dodgy on the old welder but at least theres good metal plates in there instead of a shitload of fiberglass and bog.

Makeshift spray booth...didi the job fine for the engine bay, wont be doing that for the body though, bit of shit still got on the wet paint but nothing major.

 

 

 

blingen spray gun...1.4mm, recomended by the the main paint supplier in the area.

 

 

Paint look a little light here...is a bit darker and nice in real....its late model commodore "Red Hot" 2 pac

picked up soem mor ebits today: boss kit, more bushes for the front end...go tem all now, some new monroe rear shocks and bought a daily ke55....4k-auto 3 speed-pretty much stock...some shitty wheels on it.

 

 

 

 

4k-auto 3 speed-pretty much stock...some shitty wheels on it. got some rust in the usual spots and th front left quarter has been bent and then straightened out again but pretty rough. might get another guard if one pops up. Oct rego so will easy get the e30 done by then.

tomoro ill be taring under the front end and once its dry (1-2 hours the can says) ill start putting the front end back together, ill have more pics up tomoro night

its 2 door as the and is still 100% apart

Put a nice set of wheels that are ment for the Ke30 when its done and gave the front left quarter panel a bit of paint where it was bent up adn straightened out again...paint had flaked off and had surface rust...looks better than before.

 

Also got the tar gun out and did the underbody on the front half of the car, gotta finish some welding on the rear quarters tomoro and then ill tar the rest. Built up most of the steering and suspension at the front, just need to get 4 new nuts for steering with the gaps in em for split pins. will do that tomoro or friday

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I just stuck the struts in, i will most likely pull them out at some stage and give them a fresh coat of black and probs do the calipers in the red the rest of the car will be.

Here one i missed before, Noltec canber tops (not in there final possy just yet) :-)

 

DAM your working fast and doing an awesome job man. At the rate your going she'll be together in no time.

thats the plan...together in no time. Plans for the week:

 

- tar the back end of the car and put axle back under it.

- finish the body work at the back where i cut the rust out

- gearbox under and might drop the motor back in.

- and hopefully paint the inside of the car and start putting it back together.

Haha yeh that shit flys everywhere...i wear one of them cheap full body painters suits and still manage to get it all over me.
