ok here is what is happening,

when i stop at lights in any gear apart from 1st its lil fight to get it into first and sometimes any gear. but...

if i am moving the gears are as smooth as anything.

is it my syncro gears or is the whole thing f***ed?

also would it be better to buy t50 or k50 as replacement if needed?

i really need help as i don't know if it will lock up randomly or completely fall apart.

its got me and my dad (whos owned 2 ke70's) stumped

Try adjusting your clutch if that doesn't work drain and replace the gearbox oil. the syncro should be like new on first gear.

my gearbox has started to make a click, that i can feel when i hold the gear stick, in all gears. the clutch initiates almost as soon as you touch the pedal so i doubt this need changing.

I'm thinking about going out and buying a 5-speed (k50) so that i can go on the freeway without having to listen to my engine whining

ive already started to work on my 4k, getting exhaust in few days and weber is on the way

is there a gearbox with a better ratio for a worked 4k?

thanks i will take a look and see if it is the spigot bearing.

ill get 5 speed first tho and see if this fixes it, if not Bearing here i come

sounds like the pressure plate has shit it's self, this would be why the clutch pedal is so high and it's hard to get into gear.

is it just a clutch kit that i need to buy or a couple of extra things?

also would it be worth me buying a k50 gearbox to replace my current k40?

clutch kit and a spigot bearing as well.

maybe look at getting the flywheel machined, there's mobile guys out who'll come to you.

you could replace the old K40 with a K50, would make it nicer to drive at 100k's.

yeh k50 sounds good aye, but if it was my clutch wouldnt it disengage almost as soon as you start pushing the pedal?

ill go thru everything here and see if it fixes it,

Clutch pressure plate is screwed bud.

Had the same problem on my Supra.

Advise to stop driving immediately as you are screwing your gearbox by driving it like this at the moment. Only marginally I would say but nevertheless you will screw it eventually :|
