Hi all

ive just completed installing an rb20 midmounted in a KE 70 n just wondering what people would suggest for a good suspension set up n what actually fits. ive used the standard ke70 crossmember and steering rack so i need some suggestions to what actually fits up too it

Ae86 struts fit but i think you will need better brakes so maybe S13 SR20det coilovers.SR20 det brakes are bigger than CA18. What diff are you running ?

Front wise, maybe go with AE86 struts and look down the FC brake upgrade? Even XT130 struts with the Hi-lux/Peugeot 4spot upgrade. Both those struts will give a wide variety of inserts that can be used, and also can easily be converted to coilovers. Going with the S13 route, one thing is that you will gain a hell of a lot of track at the front, so I doubt you'll be able to fit those rims in the picture under the guards.

 

Rear wise. As AE70 said, what diff are you running?

yeah i am in adelaide. sure does go hard lol it has a to4e on it with external gate running round 16 psi! :( so will the 180 stuff all fit up to the ke sev cross member?

oh and diff i am gonna put a r31 skyline diff in it with mini spool which is gettting done this week

I've always thought about doing a RB20 into a KE. RB20s sound insane hitting the limiter!

my cousin has a spaz everytime he sees my Kesev, he is putting a RB25 in his R32

Last I seen him measuring up my engine bay to see if the RB20 will fit when he takes it out lol

yeah its a real tight squeeze i cut a lot of the firewall out and the motor sits back roughly 250mm under tha dash.

yea i would go a corona strut, pug/hilux brakes brake setup, i have them in mine and stop really nicely

 

s13 gear you get good brakes but cornering is shit house, as the ballpoint angles are all wrong, you also end up with way to much track

the car isnt regency approved with tha motor but it is regoed for a 4k lol.

its intended to be track car only

ok i am going all toyota front end with 8kg ae86 coilovers, 5kg rear trd springs with kyb shocks. i just need to get camber tops and ae86 power steering arms and should be set for giving this set up a go.
