Anyone Know Waht This Switch Does?

Featured Replies

ok well i have a KE25 and under my dash on the little shelf there is an unmounted switch. i can't see where it would have ever been mounted but the strange thing is it is wired up and i can turn it on and the light in the switch turns orange. whe i was buying the car i asked the man i bought it off what it did and he said he didnt know it was like that when he bought it.

it doesent seem to do anything when its turned on but only works when the key is on 'start'

anyone have any ideas what it does? or anyone have one in their car?

does the car start without it on????? it might be a kill witch....

well if it doesnt effect the car in any way just tuk it up and leave it...

There is a switch like that in my dad's magna.

God knows what it does...

just follow the wires and see where it goes, Could be for any thing. mine is a remote on off switch for the amp

yeah, logic would prevail and you would chase the wires in a common case of wtf is this, probably would ahve taken less time than taking pictures and posting this thread :)

happy wire chasing :P

i would have chased the wires but they just hit the end of the interior and connects to bolts which i can't find the other side to...... u can see that in the pic

Chase the other wire mate, the wire to the bolt is a bloody earth wire (ie negative).

I'm guessing, through my powers of deduction that the other wire goes to a....... Positive power source!

so its a switch to turn on the light inside the switch :hmm:

:hmm: I do believe I see a third wire??

Does more (or used to do more at one time) than turn the light in the switch on!
