Meet Joansy. Owned by the same family since 1974.

 

Saw a post by another member in the spotted thread. There was a link to the trading post. We called. Got to the owner's house by about 8:45pm and took Joansy for a short drive up to the servo so that we could check her over under the lights. She hasn't been modified in any way but the family weren't enthusiasts so though she's been well loved, any little repairs haven't been done the way a meticulous collector might do. Nothing major. Just little things like the door puller on the passenger side has been replaced with a handle from a set of drawers. :) The seats have "Playboy" covers heh heh and she desperately needs a new radiator. It also has speakers installed in the rear skins so we might try to get our hands on some replacements eventually.

 

Despite a couple of small things we'd like to change, she looks a treat and even comes with good old hubcaps. Plans are to fix a few things properly, lower her, whitewalls, venetian and an old crocheted granny blanket for the rear... maybe a tissue box too. Hah hah

Thats a nice looking find you have there, keep up the good work. Id rather see these cars in the hands of people who wont destroy them.

Just brought the baby home. Will detail her tomorrow. The family who owned her are so lovely. They're even chasing up old slides showing Grandma with it in its heyday. We're going to keep in contact. :)

omg this one looks exactly like the one i picked up 3 days ago in melbourne. Except min had a smashed in front, which is now nearly fixed thanks to the donor car i had . Very nice find :(
