As far as I know the only way to determine the difference between a late KE70 and an AE71 is to look under the bonnet

or maybe some subtle differences in the interior.

Edited by seabiscuit

The lack of passenger side mirror tells me it is a KE70 straight off the bat.

Nice car David but this must have as much if not more rust than the last one :lolcry:

i have a slanty face ke70 so i guess I'm use to seeing one everyday, didnt think it was that hard to tell them apart

You can tell by the different plastic air things on the rear pillars, the badges on the front fenders, whether it is slanty or flat, or if its a sprit it has to be an ae71, or under the bonnet

And no guys do not know everything about cars, and if you know a guy who thinks he does he is a tool and I already don't like him

Don't be suprised if all those spots continue to rust and cracks out all of the bog.

Or one decent bump and your car is going to look like a block of swiss cheese again.

Did you ever put any rust converter/fish oil etc on it before bogging?

Yep, well aware of that mate, and yes the steel bars were welded in to reinforce the rear. Used kill rust and special primer. :jamie:

I was actually considering a Panelvan ;) And I was day dreaming the other day... 5K, Supercharged, Weber, Extractors. Just for a little bit of fun. But that will be in a few months... as the new car will be requiring alot of moneys put into it. ;)
