G`day mate, you have to remove the original studs and then use allen screws/bolts to bolt the adapter to your manifold. If you know someone with a tig welder, get the adapter welded to the manifold and cut out the risk of another air leak.

Anyway, good luck.

lol i just came to that conclusion then , thanks for that, any tips as to how i shld get rid of these original studs?

use two nuts screw one on then use the other to lock it in place. Turn the bottom nut to remove the stud. you will need to remove all 4 studs and replace 2 with longer ones.

Better than my idea of an angle grinder, thanks heaps mate

don't forget a shit load of WD40 as well

Mate don't angle grind em off, how will you get the new bolts into the holes!! haha.

Double nut them. If you have a little gas torch give the manifold a bit of heat, you will find it soooooo much easier to get them out as well.

=D thanks guys, should i use gasket glue between the manifold and the adapter plate and between the adapter plate and the carb?, or isn't that necessary??

webber is on!, took pollution gear off, but now the idling bah, so you turn the car on, it would rev up, then go down to approx 500rpm, kinda spluttering, and then when u revved it up to 4k, it would stay at about 3k......whats going on here?

sounds like a vacuum leak

did you make sure to block up the emission plugs you removed gear from?
