Celica Diff Into Ke70?

i was wondering if a celica diiff would fit in my rolla it looks like it will.

If you're thinking something along the lines of a TA22 Celica then no the diff does not fit my mate tried it and it does not work.

Do some research on fitting a T18 T series diff to a ke70 :D

T18 fits in, think you use rear half of T18 tailshaft, and front half of KE70 tailshaft.

CElica diff does not. T18 and celica diffs are exactly the same internally however.

I read on Toymods you can just use the whole T18 shaft on a K box and it will work. Otherwise yes the T18 rear shaft and KE front half shaft together will work.

 

Why you would want to upgrade to a T series with 4K is beyond me :D

 

I just got a T series from U Pull It for $100, sucked in to all the kents selling and buying these things for $200. It was just sitting there ripe for the picking, I think some people are just too lazy to pull them out :D

i got one out of a T18 in shed for $100.... no one seems to want it.. yet its a nice upgrade for a Ksev.. and TRD make some rather pricey LSD centers for em

T18 fits in, think you use rear half of T18 tailshaft, and front half of KE70 tailshaft.

 

if your using a "k" series box then you need just the whole t-18 tailshaft

if your using a 22spline (a-series t50) then you need the front half of a sprinter and rear half t-18.

 

ke70 and ae71 tailshafts do not unbolt in the middle like t-18 and sprinter

celica does fit!! however it is a tad wider, also the mount/hangers are a little further apart. it will fit but will fark the bushes bit quicker. if you went 4link it would solve that issue.

Tas AE71, I think you will find people are referring to the centres, not the entire rear end.

i agree with tas ae71, i measured up a celica diff, and found it within millimetres to be the same as *e7* diff.

 

the MAJOR difference i found was the panhard rod mount was about 90mm further away than ke70.

 

apart from that, the housing will fit, but the upper and lower links are slightly off, so the bushes are constantly stressed. ( and therefore will flog out quickly)

you may have to organise a courier to pick it up tho, dunno if he can be bothered for a $100 diff. lol
