Simply because a 3K doesn't produce enough power. Well, you can, but why would you, when you can spend less money and get more power out of a different engine.

to drift a 3k you need to be producing some serious HP and torque for a 1200cc engine.

forget the tosco tuning as most of the parts are no longer Available and what you can get will cost you too much money.

 

buy a 5k or 4AGE or something like that.

3k still can't eh.....ok. and can someone tell me why the datsun a14 can...the displacement?? ok try 4k then.... :((

To put it simply, more power = easier to drift. So why handicap yourself by getting a tiny engine? An A14 will produce more power than a 3K any day of the week, even on a bad day.

a full mod a14 with 1600cc can go up to [email protected]'t 4k or any k does this??? still i want to drift in k engine car...my dream :((

it would take some serious coin to get that much power from any k series.

20v_ke35: As mentioned previously, get a 5K or a 7K and you'll be closer to getting that sort of power. Like you mentioned, an A14 bored out to 1600cc. Even a 5K is only 1500cc. More cubes, more power.

you'd never get 170hp naturally aspirated out of a K series motor, the head just can't flow that much
