Super Jamie Posted June 7, 2005 Report Share Posted June 7, 2005 interesting, because most of daihatsu's engines iv worked on are infact toyotas.. not surprising, consdiering toyota have owned daihatsu since 1972 a paseo uses a 5e-fe motor, 1500 but otherwise pretty similar to a 1300 4e from a starlet. it's the "big block" starlet engine and i've played around with a 4e-fte, apart from the fact you can't get rwd gearboxes or bellhousings for them, nobody makes spigot bearings to suit, and nothing bolts across to a K motor either Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
