I present my AE82 Twinky (FWD i know i know, but shes my baby and i don't care)

 

Anyhow i am more a regular poster or Twincam and AE82OC, however i figured i would put a build thread up here.

My Dad bought me the car whilst i was in the UK last year, he tidied it up, i got home, drove it for a few months, and decided to strip her back to do a full rebuild and respray. :P

 

 

How she started life.

 

After i had her for a few months.

Car has been bare metalled by myself and my dad. Now off for paint in 2 weeks, to be done professionally.

Engine is at the engine builder, however any parts, cleaning etc etc are being bought/cleaned/polished etc by us. He is our advisor and put togethoraaaa.

Nice ride, I have a 82 aswell. Looks like its going to be a beast when you get it back together. Are you going paint it black?

I follow your build a fare bit, good to see someone else doing similar.

 

The car is going As white as white can be, which seems abit weird considering primer is black, but that is coming off and real primer will be grey.

Hahaha best bit of money i have spent. So much done in 1 hour. Full bay strip, Hatch in and out stripped. 2x 3 piece Skirts stripped, 2x Rocker Cover pairs, Little flares, Mud Flaps...sooo good.

 

 

So maybe I'm not that tired. :lolcry:

And na the neighbours were all good, we good friends with them. It took us like 3 hours to clean up, that included hosing the neighbours car, driveway and porch :jamie:...

 

So yeh they didnt mind.

Found this at U-Pull-It. 14", has orig Jap sticker and Jap tyre.

 

 

Got my tyres today, and went for a trial fit.

Tyres are Yokohama S Drives. 195-50 15"
