Evan G Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 R motors are real restrictive in the top part of the rev range therefore can't push high numbers and tons of revs Quote
SLO-030 Posted November 29, 2010 Author Report Posted November 29, 2010 Meh. 18rg is of no interest to me really. Moreso the solex's. I also have a nice 2TG manifold sitting next to me  Quote
SLO-030 Posted December 5, 2010 Author Report Posted December 5, 2010 Installed a Kenwood head unit last night. Had it bought for me after doing a few favours and its freakin sweet. http://au.kenwood.com/Car_Entertainment/1DIN_Receivers/KDC-U446 Got a pair of Rampage 6"'s up front. (courtesy of the good old Myles) And a pair of Clarion 6x9 in the boot. Goes suprisingly well! Very happy! pics to follow. Quote
SLO-030 Posted December 7, 2010 Author Report Posted December 7, 2010 Got a new set of shoes for the old beast. 14x6 Challengers. Only +27 but fill the front guards very well. They're polished alloy on the lips and edges of spokes with white in the middle and sides of the spokes. Doesnt look too bad actually. Still rather dirty as they came off a sigma, hopefully clean, re-paint and polish this weekend. Pics then  Quote
SLW42 Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 i had a pair of rampage 6x9 and they were the worst speakers i've ever had in a car, i don't know how the 6's go but i'm not a huge fan of them aye, but aslong as ya happy with them thats all that matters bud Quote
SLO-030 Posted December 7, 2010 Author Report Posted December 7, 2010 I was given em secondhand back when i bought my KE30. (Nov '08). Been sitting in a corner since. So not like my expectations were very high to begin with. They work, thats all that matters at the moment. I sure don't drive it just to listen to the stereo  Quote

nme308 Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Hi there Slo, Epic build, its a credit to you as I've seen many fall short attempting to rescue cars needing that much love! I'll have to see this thing some day - going to Toyota Nationals easter 2011? :) Cheers, Jason Quote
SLO-030 Posted December 12, 2010 Author Report Posted December 12, 2010 Thanks Jason, Always brings a grin to my face when people compliment it, especially those who know how it is to finsh a project. Toyota Nationals? The one organised by Toymods? Details? :P CHEERS Ryan 1 Quote
SLO-030 Posted December 13, 2010 Author Report Posted December 13, 2010 Diff seems to be on its way out :glare: Do i get another K series or save the hassle next time and find a T series? Quote
JJT036 Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 (edited) TA22 or RA23 Diff. Apparently they're really good on KE30-55 Corolla's. Plus - Could be experience for later on... :jamie: Josh  Edited December 13, 2010 by ewt Quote
SLO-030 Posted December 14, 2010 Author Report Posted December 14, 2010 That would be the plan. Does anyone know what T18 diffs are like fitment wise? Fitted newer front seat belts today. Tired of the old retractor not doing its thing :glare: Quote
