insalubrity_macca Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 heres my guages. ae92 rolla. Before: After: Another option is to change light bulb colours on the car models like mine with guages like they are. I know a bloke who changed his to red. Looks like this: Cheers, Cameron
Ratty Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 Hmmmm..... nice but a blue globe would be nice :P Depends on your car colour and interior i suppose .
ancullen Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 I'd be tempted to change the numbers on the tacho to double their original value. Now that's an easy way to make your 3K rev to 14,000rpm!!! :P
demuire Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 I gather 4.77 diff is set up for drift? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!ONEONE1111111OMGWTFBBQ!!! *sniff* no... just for better acceleration...
mikeys toy[RL] Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 i was gonna say, fook; the new position looks identical to our mph faces i could just send you a u.s. face and it would be all good on daisy i painted the faces flat white, then scratched the paint off of the characters. i painted the line from 70 mph up red i painted the "h" and the last line in the hot area red i painted the "e" and that area red
demuire Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 Hmm, I could have done the higher numbers in red, but that would make it seem like I'm going really quick or something. As it is I can easily wind the speedo off the dial :P
demuire Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 re: red gauges. I changed the bulbs in my Lancer GSR from stock green to red. Was cool for a little while, until it dawned on me that if any of the warning lights came on, I wouldn't even notice cause the rest of the dash was red. My shift light was also red (sequential shift lights, so 4 small ones instead of one f**koff big one), so I hardly noticed them at night too... :P
insalubrity_macca Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 Cameron, that looks awesome! Welcome to Rollaclub :P Thanks mate. Ive been on for a while but havnt posted. can't keep up with all the forums. :P But ah yeh, i will get pics of my ride up soon. Its a stocko cs ae92 rolla with engine conversion planned in january. Cheers, Cameron
Valandor Posted July 8, 2005 Author Report Posted July 8, 2005 Well i was the one taht started this and i guess its time i showed you the end result of my work. here it is first of the dash outta the car with the plastic off ( i think it looks best) The dash in the car dash in the car at night hope you like em
Super Jamie Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 i would have done the surround a different color (like black or grey) so it doesn't look so tacky, but the gauges themselves look awesome how did you do that fade effect?
demuire Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 Jamie: It's printed. So you can do any effect/image/photo/drawing you like, even a photo of your "bits"! :n:
