Another option is to change light bulb colours on the car models like mine with guages like they are. I know a bloke who changed his to red. Looks like this:

I'd be tempted to change the numbers on the tacho to double their original value. Now that's an easy way to make your 3K rev to 14,000rpm!!! :P

i was gonna say, fook; the new position looks identical to our mph faces

i could just send you a u.s. face and it would be all good

on daisy i painted the faces flat white, then scratched the paint off of the characters. i painted the line from 70 mph up red

i painted the "h" and the last line in the hot area red

i painted the "e" and that area red

Hmm, I could have done the higher numbers in red, but that would make it seem like I'm going really quick or something. As it is I can easily wind the speedo off the dial :P

re: red gauges. I changed the bulbs in my Lancer GSR from stock green to red. Was cool for a little while, until it dawned on me that if any of the warning lights came on, I wouldn't even notice cause the rest of the dash was red. My shift light was also red (sequential shift lights, so 4 small ones instead of one f**koff big one), so I hardly noticed them at night too... :P

i would have done the surround a different color (like black or grey) so it doesn't look so tacky, but the gauges themselves look awesome

how did you do that fade effect?
