ke71-rolla Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 well a while back when i was using gasket goop, got it all over my hands and didn't notice at the time, but now I've noticed there's dried gasket goop on the paint, gah.....anyone know how to get this stuff off? Thanks guys Quote
altezzaclub Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 Quite likely turps, which shouldn't affect the paintwork if you wash it off afterwards. Definately not meths. Phone the manufacturers tomorrow & ask their Tech Dept. Quote
ke71-rolla Posted October 5, 2009 Author Report Posted October 5, 2009 ah yeah, ill call em tomorrow, thanks for that Quote
philbey Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 if the paint is glossy, you'll probably be able to rub/peel it off once it's dry. Even polish should take it off. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 Yeah should just wipe off pretty easy if its a silicone bases goop. You need to use speacial fuel resistant goop when sealing up say a carby gasket, so if the goop you used isn't fuel resistant you might also be able to wipe it off easy with a rag soaked in petrol. :) Quote
love ke70 Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 should rub off if ur paint work is worth worrying about :D Quote
