can any1 tell me how hard is it gonna b to get it all engineerd. in the perth, wa area

its been said before, generally every time one of these threads pops up but if you need to ask it probably exceeds your skills.

 

a basic list of parts

 

SR20 and 5 speed

AE71 Pedal Box.

F Series/R31 etc etc Diff

Custom Engine Mounts

Custom Tail Shaft

Bigger Radiator with decent thermo fans.

 

(I'm sure there is a lot more as i'm no expert)

 

Wiring it up shouldn't be much of an issue, just use stock loom/ecu to begin with then upgrade to a tunable ecu if you feel the need.

 

 

as well as the parts associated with the engine and conversion you are also going to want

 

bigger brakes and better/stiffer suspension (its possible to use s13 struts and brakes but this will throw off your suspension/steering geometry somewhat) probably best to speak to someone like A J P S about cororra sussy.

 

 

a 4age is a much easier conversion as you can just use most of the parts from an ae71 or ae86 and it will still have plenty of poke but if you are definite on going with the sr20 prepare to spend a fair bit of $$$

just brought a whole s13 silvia for $750 with a sr20de in an gonna start takin stuff out an fabricating stuff asap

do you own reasearch read sum build threads, if you can't get a general idea of what to do you wont be able to do it.

This is pretty much what you want it too look like, its my brothers car and his payed alot of attention to detail.

There's only one reason I can think of why he'd want to do that. Can anybody say "....feeling hot hot hot!" :P

 

Ask if you can have another look at the motor, jot down the VIN # (if you can) and report it to the local authorities.

Or just ring them and tell them the story. They might want to investigate further on the lead.

Hey mate if your gonna go to the trouble of puttn an sr in may aswel make it a turbo. I got one in my ae71 an there is heaps of stuff that had to be done.
