Redwarf Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 We have........ VIDEO!!!!!! from the weekend! Fook, if I send it to you, can you edit/ post for me? A bit past my skills, I'd probably put it somewhere I shouldn't.... Quote
demuire Posted March 3, 2004 Author Report Posted March 3, 2004 VIDEO??? COOOOOOOOL!!! Yes, send it to me, burn it to CD, whatever :| I can't say I've had much experience with editing videos but I'll give it my best shot and I'm sure we can find somewhere to host it :) Quote
JapTastic Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 I've done grass motorkhana's before, and they were quite fun. Although there was a few courses that involved reversing. High speed reverse + huge arse ra28 C pillars led to many markers being run over. That and remembering where the hell you were supposed to be going.... How intricate is the typical course at QR? It seems my attention span is rather lacking. :/ Quote
demuire Posted March 3, 2004 Author Report Posted March 3, 2004 The courses run are all taken from the CAMS motorkhana book (which I don't have - yet). They should be the same as most other motorkhanas run in Australia, grass or bitumen. Kinda hard to do the reverse courses in the KE55 too, the back of it is really high and I can *just* about see the tops of each flag... Needless to say I rely on my mirrors a lot. Quote
Teddy Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 I'm going to inquire about the cams liesence thing on the holidays - only 35 Days, 8 hours and 57 minutes to go :) When you do these events in your car, is it recomend that you change the wheels & Rims to crappy old stellies ? or just keep the wheels & Rims you have on there at the moment? oh, and if u need help with video editing - i have done Heaps of it b4 :| + :laff: Quote
demuire Posted March 3, 2004 Author Report Posted March 3, 2004 Doesn't matter what rims you use, but most people change to "disposable" tyres. Quote
demuire Posted March 4, 2004 Author Report Posted March 4, 2004 Rob's video uploaded, can be found in the QMS1 Summary thread Rob: Thanks for that :| By the way, why did we need to edit it again? Looks just fine to me :) Quote
Redwarf Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 Ehhh, thought we might like to rid ourselves of some of those damn Datto's... :| Thanks for putting that up Fook. :) Quote
demuire Posted March 4, 2004 Author Report Posted March 4, 2004 Ah, I can do that if you wish :| Ken Graham's Datto is so darn sexy though :) Quote

JapTastic Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 Great vid. Rob, very impressive. The K motor sounds as if its pulling a bazillion rpms but looks happy enough doing it :| Chalk up another person who'd get incredibly lost. Quote
