I'm a bit confused as to why anyone would want to move a corolla battery to the boot. I mean, its not like your pressed for space and its not a huge weight shift. And come on...would you like that acid and hydrogen inside the passenger compartment (it doesnt take much flow through from the boot).

 

Supra, Skyline, Silvia etc etc I can understand, gotta put those intercooler pipes somewhere... Its not like your pressed for room in a corolla engine bay...

 

In conclusion, ricers suck.

without being a smart arse.. use jumper leads and connect the battery to your starter and earth.. see how that goes... my mate bought a gemini with the same issue's and we did that and it worked fine.... just make sure you connect the battery to the right side of the recitifer...

The starter is turning and power is going to the coil, the issue is/was I'm getting no spark.

 

Update

 

Spark problem solved......after fiddling around with wires, disconnecting a few, reconnecting others tracing others around the engine bay and unwrapping 40 kms of electrical tape I now have spark at all 4 cyl. Still wont start though.

 

I have a hunch about why it's still not starting and if my hunch is correct then I'll feel like a right idiot and will never be able to show my face here again. :D

I definitely plan on moving my battery to my boot in Lola as it'll mean better weight distribution (I'm using a huge 550 cranking amps battery) AND more engine bay room (as well as better engine cooling). Of course, I've got a 4A-GZE hogging all the space in my engine bay.

I got it started.........who cares if it sounds like a dying tractor and that the charge light stays on..........it started :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance:

 

 

Now its time to clean up the wiring, adjust timing etc. so that it doesnt sound like a tractor, replace altinator and the list goes on.

 

Heres a tip for those rebuilding their engine.....make sure you put the distributor back in the right way ;)

It's a bugger when you put them in upside-down! :P

ROFL...........It was a nightmare running the leads to the plugs I can tell ya :P
