First update on whats been done, this is just a few pics to show what ive started.

think ima make it yellow on outside, lowered, better mags, and tinted windows.

and heres a few other things.

My sound system is getting delivered aswell.

Under my hood, only a 3k Auto.

 

 

Had to get new rear View mirrors, mine were odd ones -.-

Okay i rang up about paint few mins ago -.-

One company said 4 grand for it to be yellow ? :)

Painting a car is a pretty labour intensive process and would be the majority of a what you've been quoted.

If you can do the majority of the prep work on the car yourself - EG dry rubbing back, priming, and wet rubbing then you can reduce the bill from the panel shop. Then they only need to charge you for the paint and the labour to actually spray it.

 

and FYI - You'll normally find that a $4k paint job is a hell of a lot better than a $2k job.... the old saying "You get what you pay for" deffinately rings true!

 

Also, were both quotes for 2-pac, or was the $4k for 2-pac and the $2k for acrylic?

uhh yeh i know what yellow i want it and everything, just think if i prep it myself ill ruin it knowing my luck,

was gonna do a tafe course on panel beating and spray painting to see :)

 

but if i can find a 2 grand place i can just sell my 89' telstar to my mate and i can afford it haha

also you should run a fan shroud, it cools the engine down more by sucking air from the whole surface area of the radiator not just from were the fan is

If i buy new seats, sport race seats for example ;)

would i have to get new rails?

 

need to know before i cut the carpet for my current seats, or wait til got new ones :lol: ;)

You can adapt pretty much any seat to the stock rails.

So, put your carpet in now and cut some holes for the stock mounts, and then your new seats will still use the same mounts/holes. ;)
