coln72 Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Low fluid level? Broken stop light? Quote
ke71-rolla Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Ive always wondered what this light is, will be interested to find out Quote
parrot Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 So you have had a bit of a look at your brake fluid presumably? Quote
philbey Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 (edited) Some cars have a low fluid level indicator. I have no idea if KE70's do or not/. Other cars may have a little bias switch in the brake system- there's two hydraulic circuits, one to the back brakes and one to the front brakes. The bias switch sits in between the two lines and if there's a difference in flow (let me think about that) then the light trips. Difference in flow is caused by a leak in the circuit. LukeAE71 Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 KE70's have a low brake fluid level light, you can tell because there is wiring and a plug coming out of the lid of the brake master. Top up your fluid mate. Keep an eye on it and if it comes on again then you have a leak somewhere. Quote
philbey Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 there you go, it's a low level indicator. and get onto it soon becase once you pump an air bubble down there it's bleeeeeeedin time. Quote
altezzaclub Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 Check the pads and shoes first Swarf, they may be well worn. If you replace them the fluid will get pushed back up into the master reservoir. You shouldn't need to top it up if there is no leak, and if you do top it up when you replace the pads/shoes all the fluid will come flooding back over the top. Quote
