Actually I think the shell was bought a little while ago when a rookie lost control and ran into the car:

 

 

But they managed to straighten the car out so didn't end up using the new shell at the time.

Definitely still cool. I was kind of surprised to see that the new shell is still the 996 shape, not the new 997. Or do you have to wait until next year to start using the 997? And I love the fact that there was a barcode on the rear of that new shell. I can see it now: "Price check on 911 shell, Register 7."
