Nice K-Sev Mate. :P

I'd keep the Granny-Spec Sleeper Look that you have in it now.

I like the idea of the Twin Su's on the 4K. It would go and sound like a Beast.

All the best with it mate.

That's a damm nice car! Don't f@$k it up with matt black paint or ripping out the interior or anything stupid.

You'd need to decide what you want out of the car first... daily driver, weekend warrior, serious grunt but hopeless in traffic...

That will set the cam you get and the compression. Plenty on here about it, 280deg cam and 20thou off the head does most people. ...and yeah, that's a big exhaust! What's the muffler setup and the noise like?

Now someone was selling a 'new' electronic dizzy on here a week or so back, a KP61 I think it was. Same dizzy anyway, one of the site sponsors. If not, you can get reco ones from the USA for $100.

yeah i not changing the interior is imaculate inside

i want something with some grunt but will still need to drive in traffic

where abouts should i go to get one of those dissy from the us

Couldn't agree more !

Decide what your usage will be and tailor your mods to this. That way you will have a usable and sensible package.

Have you read the FAQ article on how to build a tough k motor ? That's a pretty good starting point. Link HERE

Cheers,

Dougal

Corey, Rob (rob83ke70) has just taken his SUs off to overhaul them and fitted a Weber.

You two should compare notes about them- He's also got a cam fitted and a free-flow exhaust. He said the Weber gave more instant grunt, which is the accelerator pump no doubt, but didn't go as hard as the SUs.

I don't know what chokes/jets he's using.

recomendations on where to get my head done

If you're just going to match the ports to the manifold just do it yourself. Buy a curved cone shaped cutter and put it in an electric drill, which is what I did. Then the local head shop did a clean, skim and valves/seats.

If you're in for the big port flow job then you'll need a motorsport orientated head place and a fat wallet.

This photo is all I did. After I'd cut it I used an 80grit sanding flapper wheel from Bunnings to smooth it up. I figured it wasn't necessary to polish it dead smooth!
