DOOGS i have done alot of paint work with the good old export paint, it's all in the prep work underneith the paint, thats why if i took my time i could almost have a can job look the same as a gun job :jamie: ;)

You missed my point mate, clearly we are going to have different opinions on the topic.

I realise a good paintjob is all in the prep, I know all about spending ages prepping lol!

I've got a sense of humour >chuckle<

Have a guess how many times I'd flip on the P.A. and go :

"Uhhhh hmmm, don't you know talking on a mobile is illegal" :fuzz:

A lot of grey interiors would turn brown when they saw the blue n white checks ! :lolcry:

so i got $50bux to waste right now and I'm considering painting my car silver for shits and giggles.

its currently a home matte black job so I figure it can't look any worse,

haha and supercheap auto is having an export paint sale, 4 cans for $10

thats 20 cans of export paint which I'm sure i can get looking decent-ish haha thoughts?

Save up another $50 and you can come out and use my spray gun and compressor mate, 2L undercoat and 2L of topcoat will cost you $100 at the right place, then its just thinners and wet and dry after that. I've got a industrial fume extractor in the shed too :)

it will look garbage.

don't listen to those who say you can get a good job with rattle cans, it always looks tacky and half assed.

take up beerhead on that offer

edit: especially if you are painting silver over black, give it a few weeks and you car will have black coming through the silver.

But a slight black through the silver would look good if it is done right
