hey guys not long bought my first corolla, its a yellow ke70 and now I'm hooked.

I'm planning on doing some cosmetic work first because i don't have the money or relevent knowlage to do a engine conversion yet.

i have a few plans for her and so far these are my ideas.

1:wheels, I'm thinking some kind of mesh with a little bit of dish and a black centre.

2:lowering, probably just low springs not sl and some good shocks i want a firm ride but not too hard.

3:little things, fender mirrors (black) the ones on a kinda shaft, boot lip also black, chrome bumpers and maybe a front lip not sure what what kind though

either the classic ones or a small black one that runs along the very bottom

4Paint, would lambo yellow be too much or look killer?

If you think it will look good then do it, you will have a thousand opinions telling you what to do, from matt black to pearlescent, from really nice Dragways to I don't something else. Go with lowering though, that always makes a car look better.

If you get rid of the black strip down the side and that black vent on the back pillar, i mean paint everything on it yellow and i think it would look sweet, and a little dark tint on it aswell.

X2... I like that idea- lots of yellow with tints...

Disagree with the last answer, i think you should leave the vent black it breaks the yellow up, if there wasn't anything breaking it up it would look plain and not stand out at all

I agree, in a fluoro yellow 1980's Corolla with enormous wheels and fender mirrors you will have difficulty in standing out. Preferably cover your rear window in a mural that involves a sheep bending over a police officer, and paint a target on the bonnet to help break up the colour.

Photos are a must. Use the gallery for easy storage of files.

With the tint and blackend rear tail lights it would look insane, it would stand out cause of the colour you've chosen....the artists impression doesn't look anything like what it would actually look like.

i think that vent is there for a reason though...

something to do with if you have all the windows down @ 100km/h then you need to release the pressure out of the car. other wise the backwindow takes all the pressure. something like that. either way there is a good reason for the vent.

ever been in the back of a dual cab ute with all the windows down? the pressure waves almost burst your ears!

holden crewman is a very good example...

and SLW i think your signature is a bit big...isnt there a height limit on signatures?

If there is can some one pm me the height restrictions so i can work from that sorry to constantly give you the shits irokin :( back OT i think your right dave i'd say toyota put it there for a reason if you have to and you want to make it look like it's gone paint it yellow easy, but i'd say it has to stay there
