Just wondering what would be the price for a 4k flywheel???

reason i ask is , just wanting to get a ball park figure so i don't get ripped off?

 

also what model engine are compatible (with my 4k) can i get fly wheel from 5k ,7k???

3k or 4k fly wheel is all you can use. Most 5k flywheels have a 210mm clutch face as opposed to the 180mm of the 3/4k's.

They should be relatively cheap. The price you pay will be directly influenced by availability and how bad you need one.

if you pay more than $20 your getting ripped off. $10 is a good price, $0 is even better.

 

you need a 3/4k flywheel. they shouldnt be hard to find

Get a couple of Kg machined off it before you fit it-

one con I'm having now is belts wont stop squeeling cause the engine is revving so quickly that the alternator can't keep up!

 

also smooth idle is a issue and can't take off slowly just with the clutch or youll stall

f@%ck me , i rang a wreckers in campbelltown and he wanted $180 for a flywheel and bolts....highway robbery i says...heheheh

that obviously came with a 4k or a ke70 with a 4k in it yes? :huh:

5k is 200mm ;)

Get an aerosol of CRC Beltgrip and spray it on the fanbelt. It works well.

tried that. tried another belt aswell. works for a couple days and squeeel like a pig.

What rpm have u got at idle?

My fw would be the light and my belt never squeals. It most likely the massive alternator!

far out, take any more off that flywheel and it will become transparent!

 

and yes, any 2nd hand standard 4k part should be free or under $20.

 

you can buy an entire 4k engine with a 4speed for under 150 usually!

what did that flywheel end up weighing?

 

the belt shouldnt squeel anyway, alot of motors rev faster without an issue, considered issues with alternator?
