Spend 150 on a 4k, drop it in. If your not happy with the power, save for a 5k, 7k or complete conversion

 

There is no point working a 3k if you can have a 4k for the price of a set of extractors

^ I've never paid more than $50 for a good running complete 4k

Swopped my 3k for a 4k quick idea if you wont alot more power with no turbo drop me a line or reply cheap simple and easy

Google is simply wonderful! 3k +/- 60HP. 4k +/- 60-65HP. Suprisingly a 4k wont give you much if anything over a 3k. This is all copied from wikipedia, and here is the link.

3KThe 8-valve OHV 1.2 L (1,166 cc) 3K was produced from 1969 through 1977. Cylinder bore was 75 mm (2.95 in) and stroke was 66 mm (2.6 in). 3K 60hp at 6000rpm. 3K-BR 84hp at 6600rpm. 3K-B 97hp at 6600rpm (compression ratio of 10 and 9).

 

The 1969 through 1975 3K-B was a twin-carb version. The California-spec 3K-C (1977-1979) and 3K-H were other available versions.

The 1981 and 1982 California-spec 4K-C produced 58 hp (43 kW) at 5200 RPM and 67 ft.lbf (90 Nm) at 3600 RPM.
