  1. wind the nuts on the radius rods (caster rods) towards the back of the car as far as you can for some caster, king springs and camber tops (which will give you 0 degrees camber without lcas) and thats all u can really do without getting dramatic (ie changing LCA's)
  2. i have used the gregory's and haynes ones and they both have most of what u need. all the engine building torques and tolerances at least which is all i wanted it for.
  3. i saw that on speedhunters and was thinking the exact same thing lol. madness
  4. the 202 springs are too big... i don't know where this comes from but its a sloppy fit at best. crow cams part number 4220-8, any part store should be able to get em from nasons engine parts.
  5. well i had a 3k that was running 31hp at the wheels  swapped it out for a 4k we rebuilt cammed, lightened flywheel, increased comp, carb etc. havnt had it dyno'd but id say its making at least twice the power... can't find the cam specs though but it was like 270 duration 4.1 lift. revs to like 6k and blows excels off the line :laff:
  6. can't go too aggressive without balancing everything. best bet is just go to an engine shop and tell them what you want. i didnt bother getting the lifters faced with mine and 10k k's later its still fine
  7. what brent said eyes and fingers are good if you've got the engine out but if you're lazy like me and can't be bothered. a tool is a lot easier when you're working from underneath.
  8. probs wanna rebuild it if you want a noticeable gain... rings at least. shave the head while your at it. and you might as well lighten the flywheel. lumpy cam... oh damn it its happening again...
  9. nason engine parts had a special a while ago on some OS valves... i bought a set for like 20 bucks. i can't remember part numbers but i think they were gemini ones??? if you can find a parts store that deals with nason (repco, autopro etc) they should be able to call them and get the info. upon a quick search part no's could have been GEMEX2144 and GEMIN2143, probs best not to quote me on that though
  10. pharley's wreckers in hume. give them a call and they should have one lying around.
  11. best thing is to measure to the pin size cos they have 2 different diffs. and some listings are wrong anyway. also you want 12mm ubolts not 14 which i think the holden ones come with. (speaking from experience here) no issues with them legally so long as you stay within legal height (not sure on that one). you'll be safe with 2 inch. any more looks stupid anyway
  12. why hello just moved to this fine state from ACT and thought id introduce myself. me and a mate have a little project ke30 with a hot 4k which is coming over here with him shortly, i also have an AE86 back in canberra that I'm trying to raise funds to get shipped over (ie get a job) bit of shameless self promotion, I'm an experienced parts interpreter looking for work so if you know of anything hit me up ;) cheers guys
  13. KE30 with hot 4k
