well ive got myself a project...was only going to be a repair and paint project but I'm thinking things are going to get out of hand as they do haha, has 5k with twin carbies, 5speed kp61 starlet gearbox, cut springs in the front and taken the second biggest leaf spring out of the rear but will soon put it bak in and put 2inch blocks in as the leaves are 2 soft now haha, painted it matt black and then the next day had a uhm..lets say..nudge? the next day.. so hunting more parts, hav found pretty much all of them in 2days haha, all i need now is chrome bumper, radiator and valance panel and I'm away.. will be painted capsicum green with gold pearl thru it, going to work the 5k, shave the heads, bore it out, put 4k heads on it to lower the compression when i put a turbo on it i can run higher boost just to give it that extra kick, and put on an IDA and shell be sweet :D will post pictures up!

yep ur right mikey, sure is, it is gold with a gold flake over it, it was done up for the beach hop http://www.beachhop.co.nz/ which is a 3 maybe 4 day event (i forget) for old school hot rods and what not, one huge ass hot rod and rock & roll festival, its the f@$king shit, ive been to pretty much all of them, no liquor ban so u can walk whereever and drink whereever haha, i think there putting a liquor ban on the streets this coming year tho btu itll still be a good couple of days!!

 

as for my corolla, ive stripped the whole front down and now need RH front guard, radiator, valance panel, chrome bumper and the part that sits between the grill and front bumper that covers the holes that are in the top of the valance panel, should be all go by the end of this year hopfully, going to be painted capsicum green with gold & yellow pearl overtop. todays mission though is changing the gearbox haha

nice ride you got there man, good luck with the buildup, bad luck with the nudge and a general question. wouldnt putting a 4k head on a 5k block raise the complression and shaving the head would break even with the compression of a stock 5k? people put 3k head on 4k block and wham, more compression = not turbo friendly (as much).

 

got any pictures of that paint color on something, sounds interesting. :wink:
