Evan G Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 Too much or too little pressure? Have you got a manual gauge on it? Quote
styler Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 The pump has an inbuilt bypass when pressure gets too high, can get jammed if pump is old. Quote

ke70dave Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 is the guage shorting out? if a sensor/guage throws up odd readings, first step....look into sensor/failures. Quote
JDM KE70 Posted November 23, 2011 Author Report Posted November 23, 2011 the pressure is high didnt think this would happen beening so old and all.. replaced 2 oil filters oil and oil pressure sensor already. its come good atm but not wanting it to happen again. Quote
JDM KE70 Posted November 23, 2011 Author Report Posted November 23, 2011 is the oil pump valve getting stuck the normal fault. has this happened to you? Quote
altezzaclub Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 If the gauge gets shorted out I believe it goes to max reading, so it could also be in the wiring anywhere from the gauge to the sender. Hopefully a new sender unit sorted it out. I can't see the pump delivering more than 60 or 70psi a the most, and that is when cold. Quote
JDM KE70 Posted December 1, 2011 Author Report Posted December 1, 2011 Replacing the pump tonight. Fingers crossed!!! Quote
