Nice AE82 dude, A lot of inspiration for my girlfriend =P She loves it. She want's to keep the baby blue colour on hers though so I'll have to try touch it up for her.

 

How did you go about making that 'Bunnings Lip'? Looks pretty good, I might have to do that if you don't mind.

bought garden edging from bunnings and some screws, measured how much i needed then screwed it on.

 

took about 45 mins to do and looks decent and cost like $30

engine stand aquired, now anyone know what size and thread 4ag gearbox bolts are so i can get the motor up on the stand?

Yep pinch a bolt off the seca. Measure how much longer you need, take it to bunnings and get a pack of those gold high tensile bolts the right length.

A minimum of M12x1.25 x 85mm but it depends on the stand, mine are 90mm long.

brought my motor home yesterday and got it up on the stand. going to throw a vrs kit through it, new oil and water pumps, timing belt and clean it up abit before dropping it in :)

engine cleaned up today. for those wanting to do this, oven cleaner is the shit. also painted cam covers just need to do black lettering

so some parts showed up this week. my vrs kit and trd 0.8mm headgasket. now to buy a dizzy and coil(adz if you read this, pm is coming your way), buy a new set of headstuds and the teardown will begin.
