Hey am thinking of gettin a 82 celica but the front is ugly and i then started thinkin of how it reminds me of a sprinter. So to the point has anyone ever swapped a front over maybe with an ae82 corolla ?? or herd of somethin similar

They're different widths etc man, plus the celica guards are much longer and the shape to the doors are different.

 

Plus.. Why not just buy an ae86?

 

Alternatively put an ra65 front end on it. Bolts straight on and no wires even need changing

You can replace the flipup lights with fixed vertical ones, or get rid of the shovel-nose for a flat-front. Got money?

 

Sadlly, they are ugly. I'm thinking of getting one when the girl's KE70 heads off to University & I finish my Datsun 1600, but something needs to be done about that nose. Its like the flat-front KE70 & the slanty... or the flat-front Mk2 Escort & the RS2000 droop-snoot. A bad time in car design.

i wouldnt bother...just buy a sprinter!

 

RA65 is certainly a good option, much better than the ugly front...

65 on 60 is the way to go

My SA63 (Same as an ra65 just with a 2s)

 

It's about due for some dish, polish and finishing off but. Mind you i colour coded the front bumper.

 

Much better looking than the ra60 front and goes straight on

 

So... google is a mess when it comes to sorting out the dozens of models on the A60 chassis, and a lot of people just think its an ST or a GT or something...

 

The RA60 & RA61 have lights that pop forward and up? '81 '82 & '83?

 

the RA63 shows both types...

 

and the RA64 & RA65 has lights that pop back and up? They were only in '83 '84 & '85?
