Just wondering if anyone knows what these seats are out of??

Bought them off a mate for $50, proper leather, has TURBO stamped across the back of the seat but you can't see it in the pics, has heaps of adjustments for the front of the base, lower back, side flap bits etc

 

Two of the bolts line up for the ke70, but shouldn't be hard to make some brackets to bolt it in.

 

Their pretty worn though, through the grey coating over the leather and a lot of cracks leaving the leather exposed. Anyone know of something i can do to help them look a little better? I've heard try boot polish but i'm not so sure yet.

I know, i love them! Look like they should be found in the Back to the future Delorean.

 

Its just the cracking and poorly maintained leather :glare: And as good as it would be, i can't get reupholstering or anything because of the price

You can get repair kits online. Never used them but they are out there.

Theyre out of a little car like a Sherpa or a city or similar. Can't remember which.

I thought they looked like early GTi seats. They're pretty cool either way

Nothing of that size was ever sold with leather trim or adjustability in this country

They're actually Mitsubishi Starion seats.

 

Sold in Australia in the early/mid 80's for those unsure of Mitsubishi history

Ahhh of course, I knew I'd seen them. Starions were a pretty high trim spec.

 

Some kei cars have cool looking seats like this too. I would say 50 bucks was a steal starion gear is hard to find.

Ahhhhh okay yeah i just checked on google, they look the same. Very nice little compact seat, i got one almost completely bolted up this morning and there's a heap more room, but it also makes me feel like i'm sitting in a Lotus or something haha.
