bass4you Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 (edited) I am wanting to put T-18 front disks and calapers onto my ke25, thing is I want to retain the original stud pattern as I have the wheels that I want, and would prefer to keep them rather then buy new ones to suit different stud pattern. anyone know which parts are interchangeble from other models to do this with the least amount of headaches I know this may have been covered in other posts have looked at some most relate to 55/70 models to 10/20 models still not sure if the T-18 ones are same/different from these any help would be greatly appreciated cheers graeme Edited June 12, 2012 by bass4you Quote
Tally Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 if you upgrade to any other strut you cannot keep the 4x110 stud pattern... its stick with what you got or go 4x114.3 Quote
cicca_294 Posted June 13, 2012 Report Posted June 13, 2012 ^^ very true... but if you decide to run the t18 stuff, which is a decent upgrade over the 25 stuff (i ran the setup in my ke20 for a short time), then you can just swap the diff axles with ke30 (from memory??) ones to continue the 4x114.3 pcd. That also gives you a wider range of japanese wheels to put on the car too! Quote
Jono.C Posted June 13, 2012 Report Posted June 13, 2012 You can always redrill your wheels, From memory they're jellybeans? So they can be drilled.. Quote
coln72 Posted June 13, 2012 Report Posted June 13, 2012 don't know if T18 stuff is the same, but I changed KE3# discs back to the early pattern by swapping the outer part of the disc. Unbolted the hub part and swapped between the KE20 and the KE3#. Needed to do this as I swapped to the later calipers, which stuffed up the caliper to disc spacing. Hope this made sense................. Quote
bass4you Posted June 13, 2012 Author Report Posted June 13, 2012 cheers guys will have to investigate much deeper I'm thinking Quote
19914afc Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 If you just use a T18 rotor on your standard hubs (which I would think should work) and then just make the T18 caliper fit your caliper brackets which I read someone only needed a little modding to fit to a ke70 so might be a similar case here, or even try and see if you could fit your hubs on T18 struts? Although I don't think that would work but no harm trying. Quote
Jono.C Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 (edited) ^ I put ke70 brakes on my T18 struts just because i was curious, and it works with a ke70 front bearing.. And t18 brakes also fit with the opposite deal. If i remember correctly the kexx hubs wont fit t18 rotors.. But you can make an entire t18 setup fit your ke struts if you're even partially mechanically minded Edited June 14, 2012 by Jono.C Quote
