  1. so do I spoke to the guys who picked it up bare shell on trailer towed by four wheel drive at bp on west terrace sub 7sec quarters would be for sure :jamie:
  2. cheers guys will have to investigate much deeper I'm thinking
  3. I am wanting to put T-18 front disks and calapers onto my ke25, thing is I want to retain the original stud pattern as I have the wheels that I want, and would prefer to keep them rather then buy new ones to suit different stud pattern. anyone know which parts are interchangeble from other models to do this with the least amount of headaches I know this may have been covered in other posts have looked at some most relate to 55/70 models to 10/20 models still not sure if the T-18 ones are same/different from these any help would be greatly appreciated cheers graeme
  4. not sure what I will do about lower part of the flares as they cover wheels bit like a built in mud flap of sorts when I get some more pics I will get a better one to show what I mean :2thumbs:
  5. going to be using front guard flare from T-18 and graft it into mine hopefully it will look ok
  6. plans to date (hopefully)are as follows, motor-3tc not sure what mods yet, probably just mild rebuild. gearbox-t50 5sp diff-standard for now have T-series to shorten later seats are being donated from a 99-00 series wrx, front ones fit no dramas rear will need laydown part to be fixed apart from that almost exact same width. wheels-leaving ones I have on now color-can't decide yet keep finding new colors on new cars that I like is driving me nuts :hmm: Rear flares were done 15+yrs ago by a crash repairer that we once knew for a small cost of $400 not bad considering they are 100% steel
  7. Hi guys kinda fell off the radar for a while back now, finally got enough motivation to drag out of its 15+yr slumber my KE25 don't have many pics as yet but will put up more as I get them.
  8. still like to bitch slap the person who sold the 25 to topgear knowing full well it was going to get trashed no matter what condition it was in :bash: :sob:
  9. Hey Tally is this in sa coz i wouldnt mind having a look at some of these pm if it is cheers graeme
  10. looking at changing brakes on my 25 and was wondering what is intercahangeable with other models I have the compleate running gear out of a t-18 but obviously the lower mounts for the struts have different spacing to the 25 and also the spindle is of different lenth ,I have check the two against each other (both out of car) main thing I would like to know is there a strut that with mate up to the 25s lower are at all as i would like to keep the original 25s lower arm but be able to put the larger brakes on it as eventually I will be putting the t-18 diff in as well due to the fact that I am going to be using the 3t and t50 box as well any help would be greatfull cheers graeme
  11. I'm with Philby on this one if you check out your old auto shifter which makes it eisier to identify which is which in regards to the reverse switch wire and the illumination and the switch that is activated only when in the park or neutral positions, don't forget the reverse switch wiring from the shifter has to be rerouted to the manual gearbox reverse switch or else your reverse lights wont work I did this on my ke25 years ago when I changed it from auto to manual hope this helps cheers graeme
  12. Is basically the same in S.A. you must give way to all on coming traffic even if it is merging into another lane, and regards to scamin anyone for some extra $ is the reason we pay higher premiums and insurance companies are more reluctant to accept certain claims despite how legit they might be.
  13. some newer types of tyres are coming out with a rim protector manufactured into the walls of the tyres as well which can make a difference as well
  14. hate to say it but the v6 toyota lexen was a rebadged vr series commodore , holden also did this with the toyota camary which was rebadged as a holden appollo, I have seen the toyota lexen on the production line at holdens plant in elisabeth with my own eyes sorry :P
