ulp was $1.32 in town today. I remember a couple of years ago it was only like 74 cents a litre ;)

Yeah has anyone got any tips on when to get the cheapest fuel? Up my way (sunny coast) wednesday or thursday morning is usually the cheapest. I havent paid more than 1.30 for ultimate ever i don't think.

yeah tuesday wednesday is cheapest usually

avoid long weekends, servos along highways are usually dearer too coz travelers will pay it not knowing where oither ones are

people say about the lpg thing. the conversion is still worth while. its cheaper by half and has a higher octane

LPG rocks when your dads a licence LPG fitter ;)!

or when you get a 1ggte corolla with a full gas system installed and u only pay 1300 lol

go the gas ;)

Gone are the days when unleaded was 65 cents and LPG was 20 cents!! (sigh)

gas is sold by the gallon here....we aren't on that lame ol' metric system

here in alva it's $2.17 a gallon, in oklahoma city it's closer to $2 a gallon

in medicine lodge kansas it's $2.05 a gallon

and one US gallon is close enough to 3.8 litres

so you are paying

$0.57/L in alva which is AU$ 0.77

$0.525 in oklahoma city which is AU$ 0.71

so not fair ;)

anyone know what taxes the US government has on fuel, coz the australian 46c per litre or whateever it is is a major cause for the extreme prices we pay right now.

they were aussie dollars and december prices. isnt a gallon 4.4ltrs, i thought a 44 gallon drum was 100ltrs, tell me if i f@#ked in the head though.

a UK gallon is actually 4.55 litres

and the americans, because they like to be different and theirs so many of them they can pull it off the US gallon is 3.8 litres.

Metric is the pwnage bitch! None of this 12 inches to a foot crap. 100cm to a meter...so simple.

 

And with those kind of fuel prices. Its no wonder the worlds got such an issue with oil. You yanks burn it like theres no tomorrow ;)
