Hi all,

 

As seen below i've recently purchased another Ke70 but this one has a nasty dent on the front right hand fender. Do any of you guys on here know a way i can get it out without having to get it panelbeated etc? I already tried the GPS Suction Cap thing, but didn't work, :x.

 

Buy a new white guard.

If you want to just quickly pop out the dent remove the plastic inner wheel mould and push from behind .

The fender will probably cost more than the car itself. I'll remove the plastic inner wheel mould and try and push it and see how i go. Hopefully things don't flake/rust off. I'll be spray painting it this weekend or so, so yeah.

Theres a few creases there which will take a bit of effort to get out.

 

Hammer and dolly will be your way forward i think.

 

Gonna take alot of work to get it back to being straight again.

I don't really want it straight 100% perfect, i just want it to look normal from a far away distance lol.

Btw, what's a dolly, lol.

I just got a completely straight guard for free. Shouldnt cost more than $50 for a good one.

 

If you wanna pull it out really easy take the indicator off and pull it out using the hole

A dolly is the thing you hold against the outside of your guard when you hit the inside with a hammer.

 

They come in various shapes of steel, but a solid bit of wood works fine. Get a 100x100 timber about 200 long and round the edge with a file or rasp or sander. Hold it flat on the outside and hammer the inside against it. It will pay to take the guard off.

 

You could lay the guard on a bit of plywood sheet and gently hammer the inside or roll a solid castor wheel over it.

I don't want to put much time an effort into it haha, just want to try and do it whilst the fender is on the car and make it look a bit more rpese4ntable

It wont happen mate. It will proabbyl look worse than it does now. especially if you intend on painting it, that will just exadurate the dent.

Reproduction....still....brand new!

That's in Sydney, i'm in Victoria and i think it's only the L/H guard. If there was new ones or one for sale on Ebay i would've bought them, :P.

How hard is it to get the front guards off :S? What needs to be done?
