Work on the 'rona has slowed down for the last few weeks. On the plus side, my V8 Triumph2500 is now on the road and a whole lotta fun! :D

 

Cleaned up the rocker cover with a couple weeks in a molasses bath. It's a great method for getting rid of rust if you're not in a hurry :)

 

Rattle-can gloss black engine enamel

 

Engine bay is starting to look respectable! :)

And great news is that I may have found a re-co head for it that will solve all my problems :D

 

 

And I got some tyres on the jellybeans. Looks mean ;)

Got the fleet out of their sheds for a wash the other day :P

Looks heaps better!! You need to attack your engine bay with degreaser and a tooth brush like I did then paint the block haha. The wheels look sick

Yes, will definitely give it a thorough clean once the engine is fixed. Hopefully getting a new head for it soon :)

 

and yeah, defs need moar low. I've got some 2" blocks somewhere that might fit, and if I can find a spare set of springs for the front I'll chop them. Doesn't seem to be much room/flexibility in the front for lowering though :/

iv'e got 1" blocks in the rear and i think 1.5 coils out of the front, maybe even more, but iv'e got 16s

Yeah, the little 13s make the lack of low very obvious hey?

Have you got some spare springs lying around from one of your donor cars? There are pretty much no parts to be found in SA and I want to keep the original springs so that it can go back to stock if needed.

If it helps ya Simon mine are 2 inch blocks and I'm on 13's. obviously yours are a lot wider though :)

i'd just look for a set of springs that are the same size, doesn't rally matter what they are out of and if they are a bit stiffer its probs a good thing, maybe kingswood ones might fit?

No kings wood springs are too heavy guys they'll sit ur car up to Jesus, and if u cut them ill be left with like four springs travel worth!

Try cortina or anything early small with double a arm suss!

I had mine made but were based on a rear Torana spring but that took for ever to match my best bet to look at rear springs!
