Love the stripes. I've always wanted to put GT stripes on my RT80 :P Haven't logged onto rolla club for weeks since the corona facebook page started, so I've only just seen this thread and now I want one!!! I've always liked the mk2s, but never seen one for sale cheap in SA. What are the plans for this one?

seconded on the dash how-to! Mine has cracks you could drive a truck through! The dash mat has cracked so badly that it has dragged the rest of the dash with it and cracked the plastic too!

Good to see you there! My corona made it home eventually. snapped the fan belt on the express way! It had been slipping, so I tightened it before I left. (obviously over-tightened!) :bash:

it's a good hour and a half drive for me, so I'll just aim to get there at 9:15ish and maybe we'll get lucky.

might be a bit hard.. parking is pretty much in order of arrival I think, so only way to guarantee parking together is to meet somewhere before and arrive together, but ceebs

haha, your engine is obviously a lot tighter than mine! I don't think mine could possibly get wheel spin on a dry sealed surface. anyway :offtopic: hoon talk! :P

Definitely a hoon car. Cops here would impound and crush :P It's been almost 4 years since mine was on the road, and I wasn't much of a hoon back then, but mine does cut sick ringies on the dirt

As much as I love full granny-spec resto jobs in these old girls, i do wish I had the money to trick one up like that. I think the body kit looks alright and it looks like it's been really well done. Very unique little 'rona!

Impressive work! I wish I had the confidence to give this sort of thing a shot on one of my cars. I'm getting a crash course in panel beating in a few weeks when I get a couple dents taken out of my torana, but it's looking like the expense of all the tools needed is going to be my biggest problem :P Keep up the quality work! I'll be watching this thread. :)

Just found this build and read it start to end. What a rollercoaster ride of mind-changes! :P Glad you didn't go with the bling theme. Not a fan of the diamantis on the wheel. Can't wait to see her finished and on the road. Gonna be a clean machine! :thumbsup:

Look what I found at my girlfriends tennis match! Very rusty RT80 with venetians in the back. Hear shifter is pretty neat Engine sounded a bit sick as it drove in, and it has cancer in every panel, but good to see another one on the road :)

Badge looks good! good idea :) I put a new rear muffler and tail pipe on mine and so much quieter!

haha, plus some cash one way or the other... It's a UC torana - 173, three on the tree. Full granny spec with venetians on the back and everything! Drives like a dream, but gee is it ugly from the front!

the bottom one looks like the one that mine had originally I think.... Gonna list my torana and triumph on eBay or gumtree I think. Wanna keep the corona for as long as I can - sentimental value I suppose? she was my first car and really keen to get her back on the road. I'll PM you
