Ke35 Wheels Fouling On Caliper

Recommended Posts

Hey fellas, just bought a ke35 and chucked my Ssr mk3s on, rears fit well but the fronts foul on the lip of the caliper? Wheels are 14" 7j -+0, research I did prior to putting said they would fit easy. Caliper is a sumitomo with 6 18 stamped on, is this the stock caliper?

Cheers

is it fouling by much?

when I put my dragways on the 55 i had to take off about 2mm of material from the caliper (essentially the casting seam) to get it to clear. Seemed a bit dodgy at the time since it's the stiffening rib that you are taking the metal out of but it made no difference to pedal feel and 5 years of daily use later and things are still perfect.

actually looking at it in daylight I realised even if they did clear the calipers the wheel studs don't even come out far enough for the nuts to grab hold of due to the design of the wheel :/ Will either need longer studs or weirdly thin wheel nuts
