SM Hunter
yup :) like 50 bucks... i really enjoyed it tho... :) i used a lot more force than i would have managed while sitting normal and driving :P had to lay down partly and, take my hands behind the wheel and push on the firewall with my feets.... i pushed so hard i was shaking... so afterall it was pretty solid :) but it had stuck to the steering column pretty bad... maccat01
Havent seen many rustier cars still running!!! Good on you for rescuing it mate. Loving your work.
SM Hunter
thanks, yeah it was pretty rusty, but it was worth it :) Â lots of suff has been going on lataly, put this project away to rescue a Honda CB 1970 :) ill add a before and and after pic :) Â shit ugly.. this is AFTER a high pressure wash.. paint was like this all over.. Â after a LOT of sanding and bogging, i let dad paint it , turned out good :) Â after i finished that i figured one of the old Toyota Crowns we have needed a six cylinder instad of a 4.. so that got converted..the white one :) then it was back to the Corolla :) soo i figured i needed so many pars that i just might buy another car for parts.. so i went out and bought a similar car that previusly had a Turbo 2TG in it that was making 220+ hp, PO removed the engine, gearbox and the rear axle, car is modded to hydraulic clutch and transmition tunnes is modifyed a bit + it got some rust... even tho the paint is okay, going to use some parts from it then maybe put a CA18DET in it :) a friend has engine, ecu ,and everything i need + my brother is upgrading his s13 so we will be getting some spare parts like turbo etc.. don't say i shoud use this rolla instad of the other one, because this got some rust underneath, and it gots lots of chips and dents and a bit of surface rust, so it needs some paint anaywas... so ill save it for a future project :) got a nice steering wheel aswell nice front lip switched over the front plate... then some more bogging and sanding, just a example pic.. been bogging all over the car... then i decided to finish the welding, i had about 20 holes arround hte car that i needed to weld.. boot rustthreated behind the front plate aswell :) best trailer puller for sure! Â and here is my goal, i want to make a car almost identical to Chuck Wads's TE27 :) but mine will be a KE20 :) soo as you see that car does not have any bumpers, but i atleast want quarter bumpers, do anyone have a pic of a Xe20 with quarter bumpers? since i now got 2 sets of bumpmers , i am thinking of making one of them into quartes... and painting them black... :) Edited July 10, 2014 by SM Hunter
SM Hunter
more bogging , or "sparkling" as we call it in Norway :P begining to look good, just some small chips left on this fender... i welded a bit long on it so it became too hot and bent... started on the lower part of the car aswell just a bit more bog needed here :D no more antenna and then we have this enormous dent... still not good.. when i'm finished i need to strip the interior and dash, then prep inside and in the boot, and i need to get hold of some red paint :) getting excited :D Edited July 10, 2014 by SM Hunter
SM Hunter
removed the interior.. started removing the front windshield, and someone used tec7 to glue the windshield in place... had to ask dad for help.. trying to get the rear window out.. some rust.. bog bog and even more bog.. no more dents here! just some scratched etc in the bog.. i need to bog and sand a few more hours before it's finished... ISHARA
From where did you buy those fender flares? If it is online, can you kindly mention the link? BTW, great work
SM Hunter
thanks B.L.Z:BUB, I'v put in too much time and effort considering I'm probly going to crash it when I'm getting my car licence, haha :P Bought the fender flares on ebay.. i decided not to use them, if i was going to use them i would need wider tires and rims.. and thats too expencive for me.. anyways here is a video, just had to take it out of the shed and test it.. i just love this car, its so light and fun to drive! not like anything iv driven before! the Toyota crowns we got feels like an old amarican car compared to this! Â iv wetsanded the car and its almost ready for paint, the thing is that dad is on vacation, and I'm moving away from home in a week to start school.. soo dunno how thats going to get done.. :( decided i needed some new seats, i went out and bought some really comfy bucket seats! took of the rails of the original seats and test mounted them on the new test mounted in the car , only got to mount one of the slides, they are too close to eachothers,, so i need to make something fancy there, and i need to make a mechanism to tilt the passanger seat forward..
