ke2020 Posted November 5, 2013 Report Share Posted November 5, 2013 hi guys need a little help. i want to put some coil overs in my ke20 what are people doing these days, how and were can i get a set from. also the rear leafs. i am running a hilux diff with a pretty standard rear end. what leave up grades can i do. any and all help will be great. crunk81us Posted July 26, 2014 Report Share Posted July 26, 2014 Rear leafs.. I flipped the short leaf to the the top. Upside down. Took about an inch off the ride height and made it stiffer.. Hilux diff is heavy though. So maybe something thicker or more leafs from another pack? Panhard rod couldn't hurt either. I have a set of spare springs, i am thinking of pinching the load spring and adding it as the second flipped to the top of the pack on the car.. currently have one.. first one dropped the height an inch or more and stiffened it up.. what would a second one do? I am trying to reduce understeer.. Sorry for the thread hijack :hmm: 70's Escort rally cars ran single leaf rear springs. Made up a two leaf pack for my KE20. Would be different for dirt though? lots of travel and soft to gain traction. which springs did you use? maybe 3 reset would be good for street? coln72 Posted July 31, 2014 Report Share Posted July 31, 2014 Just personal opinion, but I have always felt that the rear on the KE20/30 series was too stiff in the rear. My KE35 would single spin to a stand still (felt like it anyway) on slow corners and would spin up the inside wheel up Arthur's Seat.
