I had a good look through the tech questions but couldn't find a specific answer to my question.

Basically I have a KE30 with the standard steering wheel which I don't like and I don't want an after market wheel particularly so does a KE35 3 spoke wheel fit the KE30? Will it bolt straight on and the indicator cancelers still work?

 

Anyone who knows a lot about what wheels are interchangeable please share.

Yes, they will change over fine.

Ke30 to Ke70 share the same boss kit in either short or long so I would say it would change over ok.

Pretty much any Toyota wheel would fit in fact!

I know the splines are the same in most old Toyotas but the mechanisms to turn the indicators on and off change. My KE18 boss had pins sticking out while my KE70 boss had recesses.

Even between the KE30 & KE55 there were slight changes in the pins for the indicator cancel. However, you can get around it by swapping over the plastic sleeve from one to the other.

Thanks for all the good advice guys. So I trusted you all and bought a KE35 steering wheel for my KE30, it bolted straight on and is a sweet looking genuine Toyota upgrade. Best $30 I have spent in a while :thumbsup:
