Raven Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Haha, i don't think so... How about u just remove your windscreen and make a flyscreen one to put in its place? lol Quote
Trev Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 A/C cooling comes from the front of the car so this here would work by taking heat away from the engine bay but probablt not alot from the A/C. BTW how did you do the vents mate they look like factory. Quote
Teddy Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 oi, u 2 shutup ?! :) Lookin great mate :) - i think she needs a cut and polish tho lol Quote
Trev Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 oi, u 2 shutup ?! :) Lookin great mate :) - i think she needs a cut and polish tho lol I wanna know how he did it thats a fab job, a mate wants to do the same thing but we don't want any tampering marks we just want it to look like it was meant to be there like that does. tmac101 Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 (edited) the way ive seen it done is you mark out where you want the vents and the machine is like a giant stamp/punch which comes down and presse it to the desired shape. i don't how mike done it but thats how ive seen it done before... :) Edited May 20, 2006 by tmac101 Quote
Dan Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 It is pressed into the steel... Mikey, I like those vents, are they on your car? Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted May 20, 2006 Author Report Posted May 20, 2006 they take advantage of the negative airspace to draw air from the engine bay and through the radiator it really did help my a/c, but i wasn't bieng too serious they're on daisy, i was supposed to show them off a long time ago and yes, they were done with a huge punch machine Quote
Trev Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 So it just stretched the metal, no addons or anything thats sweet. A/C cooling comes from the front of the car so this here would work by taking heat away from the engine bay but probablt not alot from the A/C. As i said it would work to an extent drawing heat from the engine bay, i was just wondering if it was a serious a/c topic :) Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted May 21, 2006 Author Report Posted May 21, 2006 drawing heat out of the engine bay makes cooler air enter= physics but this is a semi-serious topic my a/c; genuine nippondenso Quote
Dan Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 They did something about that on Cruizin, about the punching and advantages and whatnot (you eastern state fellas probably don't get it, its a Perth based car program)... Your doing a fair bit of work on daisy now aren't ya! Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted May 22, 2006 Author Report Posted May 22, 2006 winter's over.... time to get out and ready for the road btw....just did an awesome smokey burnout in the parking lot at work.....i had to wait for the smoke to clear out just to merge out onto the street! :) Quote
