chrisandliz[RL]
Auto to Manual Pedalbox changes are the spawn of satan Nick adds his 2 cents by saying "If you want a manual car, its easier to just go and buy one that is already manual" heh tell you want, if i see one ill buy it :)

Corolla_Kid
Pretty easy in a ke20 if i remember correctly. Just need the ke20 manual pedal box and it bolts in relativley easy. It was a while ago but i think it only took a couple of hours.
coln72
Thinking the same thing medicine man. Sure it only took the old man a lazy weekend to do his KE30. Easy if you have acess to a manual car to swap the bits straight over :)

Redwarf
Having mot half an hour ago finished pulling a pedal box out of a 20 I can tell you a number of things. It took me about 30 minutes (using air tools) to remove. Three bolts holding steering column, three nuts holding on wiper motor (pray to god you never have to change one of these) and the bolts holding the forward end to the bulkhead, for this car it was five nuts/ bolts, your's will probably have three or four, as this one had been modded. Disconnect the brake light switch, the clutch cable and brake MC pushrod, then reef, pull, twist and generally root around until it comes out. I also removed the attach bracket that goes between the steering column, and the PB. You may also want to remove the dash for better access to the top bolts, add 5 to 20 minutes for this depending on who's been at the car before you. Installation is the reverse, and will realistically take about twice as long as removal. *Disclaimer: These times are a rough guide. I used a rattle gun and an air ratchet on everything, have access to good tooling, and I know my way around a twenty fairly well. * Hope this helps. Felix
i did an auto to manual conversion on a mates ke30 at one stage. from what i remember (was a while ago) it wasn't that difficult. we did it in a laid back manner over 2 days. the pedal box wasn't an issue from memory. i have pulled a manual pedal box out of a ke10, it was pretty easy. haven't touched a ke2x one yet.... you are scaring me Rob. :)
