Just did a search on this "mercury mistress" you speak of and all I have to say is...

I'm not even going to ask how you came across that *shakes head continuously*

Todays Update...

Viewed from above, the straight foam doesn't line up with the curved shape of the boot

So I traced the shape on to the unused edge of my cardboard piece to make a template to trace on to the foam, traced on to the rear edge of the wing then measured distance between previously traced line and template for parallel at both ends, to make sure depths were the same size so the front edge matches the rear egde of the wing. These lines are on the bottom of the wing so I could cut it on the bandsaw with the convex arc down.:(

So once cut it lines up with the lines of the boot

But was still too long so i put 4 marks on the wing at the front and rear edges of the wing to line up with the boot.

Then traced the straight lines between the marks getting it ready to be cut

Once the ends were cut it lined up flush with the ends of the boot as well as everywhere else

And then sat the ends under to have a better idea of how it's coming along:eek:

That is all for now...

Any comments invited.

Yeah Biggo, shaping is the next step. Want to make sure the ends are right first. Researching wing profiles as we speak, to determine the shape I have to carve. Once it comes along a bit further and my ends are shaped correctly and attatched I will be "paper mache" coating it then using body filler for more shape.
