just me playin around, goin to melb in it for the week :y: go show it off en shit :jamie: would of had i diey running to dis week if i didnt have to melb and then most likly goin to lorne dis weekend to so will not have it done till i go on hoolies in dec :)

well as i had skool up in melb didnt get alot of time to get things done, but i did gte the 40mm solex sidedraught carby all mounts up and running, not to good right now needs some tunin, will work on that tomorrow, but f@$k does it go better, pulls harder and pulls right out to 7000 and ssstill wants to pull more in 2nd and 3rd, not so much in 4th and 5th but still pulls. got some pics, had some truoble with the brake master being in the way a lil so had to cut a lil of the carby and lay the motor over to the right a lil to egt a bit of a gap in there. just need to make some fiilters and tune it all up right and it sould be sweet.

AS for the throttle and that i used a custom mount to hold the T-18 cable in place that pulles on arm off a 2TG EFI throttle body, bolted striaght onto the solex rod, works a treat

well got some more up dates, did i lil bolt on brake up grade cos the old brakes are ssshit, not that the new ones are alot better but there better and it was all free so I'm not conplaning :P ive tolk of all the old brake setup of the ke20 strut, and a ke30 strut, put the ke30 backing plate and caliper on, and changed over the disc from the ke30 hup to my ke20 hub so i can still run the same bolt patern size. bolted it all up and it all good and workin, just need new pads and that, I'm thinkin just goin all out soon, and just not run the old patern size cos it will be easyer to make up brake setups for it :)

Went to the Off Street Drags friday night, best fun ive had in a long time can't wait till i get back out there. best run was a 15.9 but with the varbys running better and a better take off, and also it was gettin hard to change into 3rd gear, but think i could run a mid or low 15? was happy thow all good fun, didnt break any thing so that was good.

 

thanks to linds for getting a trailer and towing it up there, and my bro nick, ryan, sean and sumo for coming down to help out and watch, thanks heaps boys.

 

got some pics, and will have some vids soon if i can get them? not that it was fast, but did ok, almost got a VC v8 manual on one run,and got to run a 10 sec flat commo ute that was funny.

also me and a mate linds made up a difernet zorst in an hour for it LOL. was 2 1/2'' with a hotdog and then a single stright through mufler, sounds ok but drons like all f@$k!!

got some updates that i did on the weekend just didnt post it up till now.

 

well started to put the battery in the boot, linds got the box in there for me, just got to work out were to runn the two cables? inside or outsdie to start with? and then were to run it through the firewall?

Thinking of running the cables through here some were? and then running along were the red arow goes, then down to the starter for the + and stright to the chassis for the - . and will have a ruber gromet in the wall to seal it all up.

pulled the back seats out tonight to see were i can run the cable.

 

goin to run the + cable from the bat past the tank, through a hole under the seat, then run it along the tunnel under the carpet, then through the firewall when i make the hole and along the chassis rail for a bit then off the the starter, will most likly run the - along the some path to, just need to runn the wiring for the speaker on the other side now <_<

note that the cable will not be like that just had it like that so you can get the idea of were it will run through the firewall.

this car is looking great, everytime i look at the thread it inspires me to go and do some more work on my car, looks really neat to with the minilites on it, this is basically the same setup as my car is going to run but with 2t and celica struts, what did you do crossmember wise to get it in there, did you have to slot the mounts at all????

are you going to strip the sound deadner out of it???, did my ke20 last weekend and got aout 20kilos exactly of the stuff, two shopping bags full

thanks mate :) well al i did is bolt up the gear box to the X member, then bolt the engine to the box and had a look were it all sat, then i think i moved it back a lil, but slotting the outer holes in the gear box Cross member, used the origanal mounts of the k series, just cut them all the way off, bolted it the the t series engine mounts off the block and keeped cutting the k series mounts down till it all sat were i wanted it, then welded it into place, just had to weld the sides and back of the mount then tap in the front as it sat out over the X member a lil :P if ya look through there will be pics i think? if noe let me know and ill see if i can dig some up :) the sump had 1cm between the X member, so just tap it in a lil, didnt need a lot now i would say its got 5cm or a lil more between and works fine.

well did a lil work on the 6 powered rolla, then tolk some pic of the ke20 and started to make the turbo set up for it agian as ive got a 8psi gate now rather than the 20psi one that was on last time, and i will make it a lil better dis time...... HAHA

 

de ke20 is now running 205/60/13 on the front and 205/65/13 on the back.

 

oh and on a nother not the cluch is now slipping, guess it wasn't up for the power of the 3T!!!! dam stocko clutch, now got to look at making it better?

yeah o can get some pics soon, and was running mazda 323 13'' rims on the front, as i had to different size tyre on the mags, so i could see what worked better.

well i got some 2'' 180 mandrel bend piping from south geelong exhuasts on thursday so i could start to plum up the turbos to the inlet, all ive done is cut the pipe till its got to the right angles and lengths.

 

ive tacked it together with the mig and left a lil bit of a gap so when i weld it up with the oxy it will fold together really well and will be really flat on top and look very neat :jamie: only half way though for now, just workin out how to make a V or a Y peace to run it into the single weber manifold ;)
