I got the car back from being repaired today and he did a bloody good job!

He also knocked the dent out of my floor behind the passenger seat AND fixed the massive hole I had under the battery tray AND rust protected my radiator support which was in good nick to begin with anyway.

Yes I asked him to do the extra repairs and he didnt charge me any extra. He even rewelded my exhaust on my panel van for nothing :)

For those of you who have read the KE rolla discussion thread about flare kits, I found out a mate of mine who I work with actually has fibreglass replica's of the TE27 flares that he smuggled back from a wreck he found in Japan, so after work today we stuffed around a bit and took some photos.

For your enjoyment, we used an empty Red Bull can to gauge exactly how much more width you would gain with the flares on the front and rear using 12 inch rims on a KE20/25 with about a rim width of 5 inches.

The Front

Some more mods. I decided that I didnt like the mirrors very much as they had been attached incorrectly and i couldnt see shit outta them, so I upgraded to these:

I'm getting the holes welded, grinded and primer applied tomorrow, so it should be sweet once its done.

I had the holes welded, ground flat and undercoat applied yesterday:

Here's the progress so far:

I also picked up a RH door seal in excellent condition for 2 bucks from SA's biggest self-serve wrecker today as well. Bargain!

More money to throw into the car.

Idler Arm needs replacing, l/h outer tie-rod end is worn and the wheel bearings are loose and on top of that it needs a wheel alignment.

The Idler Arm alone is worth $100. So i'm getting it all sorted out next Tuesday and hopefully I'll be able to turn better :D
