Yeah it would make it a awesome car to drive I must say, I just don't know how easy it would be to set it up using the leaf springs. Also don't know what the ratio would be like for a 4AGE. The 4AGE that I got I just found out that it has a port and polished head, adjustable cam gears and the only thing I WILL have to replace are the piston rings. I was though thinking of getting high performance pistons for it but don't know who would sell them. I just really gotta get all me parts and then I will be happy. :P ;)

If you're talking about using an R31 diff, wasn't there a 4.1:1 ratio available for that style? They're a Borg-Warner diff, and all the Holden and Ford guys want them for their VL's and their EA's, well, the LSD ones anyway. 4.1:1 would be fine with a 4A-GE. My 55 had a 4.111:1 standard KE55 diff with it's 4A-GZE and that worked well - but I still swapped to a 4.3:1 locked diff when I broke the original. ;)

did you get the whole diff or is it possible to buy centres for the standard corolla diff. If you opted for a whole new diff what was it

Do you mean when I changed to the 4.3:1 centre? The centre was simply a standard one from an auto KE55 that had been welded. You can swap centres between similar Corolla diffs. If you have a Jap diff, you can't use a Borg-Warner centre and vice versa. But if you've got the Borg-Warner 4.111:1 diff, you can swap in the 4.3:1 centre from the auto.
