recently bought a 1 owner 1982 ke70, pretty good condition. it has a few bits of surface rust here and there but no big rust patches. Only thing that is wrong with it is the clear coat is fading off on the bonnet , bootlid and a little bit on the roof. The car has done 260 000k's and it's the original engine, gave it a service the other day and it's gutless as hell but cheap on fuel ;) hopefully 1 day it will get a new paint job and mild 4age conversion with the stuff thats in my ae71 paddock basher. Hey guys, due to some deliberation on my part I'm not using my orig rolla for a engine swap, want to keep it as a runaround so now I'm chasing another rolla, pref 2 door, does not need engine/gearbox, interior condition not bid deal (will be stripped) only concern is that it is basically rust free and straight. i recently had a AE82 rollla come into my possesion it's just my run around car until i get my commodore back on the road and wen it does i'm gunna pull the corolla off and do some mods to it, major one is an engine conversion from the stock 4ac to the 4age and was wondering the costs involveds in engine purchase and all parts needed the current box is a 5 speed manual I'm guessing i don't need to do any swapping for that

Hey everyone, i'm new to this forum so i'm sorry if this topic has been discussed before I was just recently given a 1976 Corolla that I believe may be a TE31 because of the VIN number, my guess is that it's the TE31? correct me if i'm wrong, because i'd really like to know. Anyways, there's absolutely nothing in the car, it's really just a rolling chassis. This car was an absolute rust bucket and needed a lot of TLC but it started everyday!!! But some one stole it and wrecked it. I found her back on its side in a ditch totaly wrecked. Bought the car in 2005 as an auto from my grandfathers estate, and it was one of my first cars. Auto + 4k makes for a very dull car so with the help of a few mates from pulse motorsports car club, we converted it to manual and it was a good learning experience. A couple of the bits i bought didnt match up as they were from a ke55, so another ke70 shitta was bought for 100 bucks. still didnt have the clutch spacer for the firewall though..so the solution was to weld a 22mm socket to the firewall..dodgy..but does the job just the same. Picked up another rolla last week. 90.000kms, no oil leaks, reco head, new hoses, fairly good bodywork. Stock as, all ihave done is pull all the door moulds of cos it was missing a couple. Got it with rego for 500 bucks, tell me what you thimk and maybe what its worth. Also what i should do with it, i was thinking lower it and put some whitewalls on there. Cheers
