  1. I'm looking at a ra65 diff (and brakes) at the local. I assume that its the same as the ra60 sitting next to it, true? AFAIK it looked identicle to a t series. Failing that, lockin the diff is already on the cards :)
  2. No offence guys....don't mind me cos i am an ass hehe Back on topic, does anyone know Dave Lawson (AJPS)personally? I want my struts now please as i think 5 weeks is a bit too long to wait. Also, anyone got some ideas on what to dump money on next? Assuming my suspension components turn up, i'll be looking at doing the brakes (re: 2nd post). Nothing too complex, just the usuall run 'o the mill ra60 stuff.
  3. Putting it into perspective then.... Clown owns "dumb" :D
  4. well ...........your dumb :D since its been frount mounted, theres probably 6 foot more of 2inch piping...do the maths. Anywhat, my strut brace arrived today ;) now i just need struts heh.
  5. Pffftt, bigger cooler = more lag so thats out. Anywhat, shes almost finished, just gotta do a few bits and bobs and sort out the fuel system (find the parts) and pipe/plumb/tube everything together. Then its wining time ......:D
  6. Whoopee :D Radiator is now in, and the feelings fine ;) So happy bout the progress this wknd it looks like ill have a go at it again next week. Still waiting for Lawson to deleiver the goods (been 4 weeks now FFS!) Anywho, what do u all think of my N13 radiator in the 71? Looks like the were made for each other to me AND theres plenty of room for a thermo fan or 3 :D Opinions??
  7. :D Ive just made an interesting note on my ic. Apparenly the later ae92 gze's had a 12 row one whereas my aw11 is an 18 row ;) also found this funny pic Oh and Ant has a spare fuel tank lying around so its all good now.
  8. Ahhh, i see now, i'll just use the stocko toyota ones from the aw11. Seems to be an inline one(a big one at that) and mounting it just befor the fuel rail in the engine bay.
  9. ahh... so what do i use instead then? Besides the actuall pump wont even fit thru the hole. BTW, the tank has the odd dirt/rust particle in it so i don't wanna ditch the filter completely.
  10. Thanks to Jason for the suggestion, but unfortunatley it wont work. I have a spare intank pump which i would have hacked up the original pickup but alas, the damn thing is too big to fit inside the damn hole. Heres a few pics: My tank showing the difference in sizes of the collars and heres an 86 tank (with external pump) Thanks to Phirom for the pic Notice that my 7mgte pump will drop straight into an 86 tank!! Meh...this should be in the faq hehe :D
  11. Ok folks, its been awhile so its time for an update methinks. ABV is now got the boot, also ive reversed the sc output pipe (ghetto style) so it now faces the front. Heres a pic Id say it took me all off 1 hour to give the abv a big f@$k off! but really it took me all day to do the entire setup. Its a peice of piss too i might add. Next is the intercooler is now fitted. Ive used the leftover pipe from the topmount setup to brin the lower outlet back into the engine bay. u just have to stageticly cut the radiator support panel :D Another pic or 2 Also, ive got a 7mgte fuel intank fuel pump. These things are bolt in for AE86 tanks ONLY. I found out the hard way, as the top collar is smaller than the spoontah one. Exactly the same size as the fuel level sender collar to be precise. However the sprinters have a larger collar which will fit like your finger in a hole ;) so now I'm looking for a 86 fuel tank :D Anyone wanna help me find one?
  12. Just did the ABV mod today :P its a piece of piss really, just cut up a plate and block off the vaccume hose and your all set. Just don't get around to playing with the sc output pipe like i did. I redrilled the holes and reversed it.....but its now held in by 3 bolts and lotsa gasket goo.
  13. Any odd engineering shop should be able to help ya out dude. Just make sure u measure twice and cut once :P
  14. AFAIK .64 housing is the biggest you wanna go on a lil 4age. Seems to be ALOT more GT28's goin around now, and alot are finding ways into the hands of shitbox enthusiasts :P
  15. Hot damn I love them lil hatches, but this one beats the living daylights out of em :P Whats needed to get her on the road?
  16. There was a blacktop for sale ahile ago somewhere with 140kw or so but for $10 000 i can understand that even mild work wont get u far in NA form.
  17. :P Pick me, Pick me i say
  18. err.... i dunno but Megz on toymods has a ke25 i think.... hes alos contemplating a 4agte of some varient...
  19. Teddy - thats makes a bit of sense (to me atleast... You noobs might need help) But don't forget Bigger ports = more air flow as opposed to air speed
  20. Longitivity? Most people wont even bother to rebuild a trubo these days as the cost of a brand new one is cheap as. Ive heard good things about TD04's and 4AGE/ZE which can be found off the them sooby motors. Yes I'm probably biased but thats where i'll be heading in the distant future..
  21. TD04 nuff said...
  22. Anyone noticed that the 20v has slightly bigger exhaust valves? Well it looks like it to me... I wonder what it means in terms of performance vs all the same sized ones?
  23. Mate i dunno, These sound like the typical chinese ripoff brand. I wouldnt beleive everything the say (quaily german parts ffs!). If i were u id just chuck a used t25/28 on them (we talking the 2 or the KE70?). And for ~$200, you could get a couple, that way if one shits it self, you all good
  24. Glad you read it! Seems the police were part of one of the companies wishing for ownership. Now theres some crazy shit
  25. lol ur all dumb  if u read the toymods statement it was only posted like a few days ago so nerr...
