  1. Gday Pete Another problem with adjusting the angle of the engine is the carburettor angle will be out. If you did go ahead with uprighting you would need an angled carby base which would make the carby sit level again Cheers, Darren

  9. I was driving down a street in Kaleen the other day and there is a ke coupe sitting out the front with grass growing up its side. Does anyone know who owns it? It looks like its dead. If it needs a new home I might be able to help Cheers Darren
  10. I have a ke55 in disguise. It sounds like a corolla, looks like one underneath, goes like one, but its a Morris Minor with a 7KE engine, k50 Ke55 diff. Ke55 front discs, Ke 55 booster and master Cylinder. Do i qualify to be included in your cruise? Darren

  15. If you do manage to separate them you will never get them back together. If you have no other option i would cut the shifters down the bottom in the thin section before it goes inside the thick piece. I would mark both shifters with a texta before you cut so you get the alignment right. Then sit the thick end in a tall cylinder filled with water to keep this section cool and then weld the two halves together. It does work, I have done it before.

  19. Hi all, Has anyone here attempted a gearbox rebuild on a 5 speed from a ke70. If yes, was it hard and is there a step by step sticky here anywhere that i may be able to look at I just have noisy bearings. its whining in 1st, 2nd & third thanks Libbor
